About This Blog

So here's the deal:

I'm participating in the most awesome 31 Plays in 31 Days Challenge in which over 400 playwrights are taking on the challenge to write a play everyday for the month of August (take that NaNoWRIMO, BAM).

So I've decided that my prompt everyday will be a card from my most awesome Mystic Faerie Tarot deck.

This is what awesome looks like
I've used this deck to give people readings for about three years and I love it.  Barbara Moore is awesome and her deck is magical.  You can buy it on Amazon or E-bay. Or probably at Barnes and Noble or other places that have awesome decks of magicalness.
There's this superstition that you're not supposed to buy your own tarot deck or else something horrible happens, like flying monkeys come from Oz to pull out your eyebrow hair, but that's never happened to me.  But if you believe that superstition, you can always awkwardly hint about wanting it and send people to this link right here.

So in addition to giving people readings, I sometimes use my cards to help me writeI didn't make this idea up, there's this awesome book called Tarot for Writers by Corrine Kenner that I like to use:

I've used their exercises, but the best part is that it's gotten me even more in tune with my cards as a whole, especially for when I give readings.
Want to buy it? Here's the link!

So that's the basic deal.  I'll be posting excerpts from my plays and the cards I use everyday, and maybe rants thoughts about theater.  Happy reading to all!
